Last updated 20 October 2026. This policy is issued by Manifest Slate LLC, which makes the Manifest Slate app.
Nothing. Manifest Slate has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not receive, see or store your gear, photos, locations, jobs, crew names or scan history.
Everything you enter stays on your iPhone, in the app's own storage. Deleting the app deletes it. Photos you attach are copied into that storage; the app only sees photos you choose.
When you write an NFC tag, the app puts a web address on it with the item's ID. If you have set an "If found" contact line, that goes on as well. Anyone who taps the tag with a phone can read both. That is the point: it is how lost gear gets home. Put a studio name and a phone number there, never a home address. You can leave the contact line empty.
Tapping a tag with a phone that does not have the app opens a page on manifest-slate.app. The contact line is read from the tag's address by the finder's own browser; the part of the address that holds it is never sent to our website. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, may keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) of page visits for security and operation.
The app keeps daily copies of your kit on your iPhone, in its own storage. They leave the phone only if you export one yourself, to Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop or anywhere else you choose.
The app suggests NFC tags and links to them on Amazon. Opening a link takes you to Amazon, whose own privacy policy applies. The link carries our Amazon Associates ID and a search for the kind of tag, nothing about you or your kit. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Face ID, Touch ID and your passcode are checked by iOS. The app is told only whether the check passed. It never sees your face or passcode.
These only open the app to scan. They carry no data about your kit.
