Manifest Slate

Know where your things are.

Manifest Slate is an iPhone app for tracking physical things with NFC tags and printed codes. Tap a tag to check something in or out, and the app keeps the record.

What it does

Tag it, then tap it

Write an NFC sticker or print a QR label. One tap reads it and offers check in, check out, or a look at what it is.

Places, containers, items

A room holds a shelf, a shelf holds a tote, a tote holds your gear. Move the tote and everything in it moves with it.

Scan a whole load at once

Run through a case of equipment in one go. The app collects the reads and commits them together, and says what it did not see.

A history that only grows

Every scan is written down and never edited away. What the app assumed and what it actually saw stay separate.

Print your own labels

QR or barcode, on a thermal label printer or a sheet of stickers. Every label carries a link anyone can open, so lost things can find their way back.

Yours, on your phone

No account to make and no sign in. Your records live on your iPhone, and the app keeps daily copies of them there.

How it works

  1. Add a thing. Give it a name and a place. Writing a tag is optional, and things without one work the same way.
  2. Mark it. Write an NFC sticker, or print a label with a code on it. Both point at the same record.
  3. Scan as you go. Tap a tag when something leaves and again when it comes back. The app answers where it is and when it was last seen.

Who it is for

Anything you own enough of to lose track of.

Manifest Slate started with film and photo equipment and is built for any collection. Choose what yours is and the app takes your words for it: cases for a camera kit, totes for a household, boxes for a workshop, shelves for a library.

It handles tools, camping and outdoor kit, instruments and stage equipment, board games, books, household storage, and stock kept for sale.

Privacy

The app collects nothing.

There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. What you enter stays on your iPhone. Nothing about your things, your photos or your history is sent to us, because there is nowhere for it to be sent.
